Acclaimed Ghanaian filmmaker Peter Sedufia and his production team held a press conference on Tuesday at the Silverbird Galleria in Lagos to announce the start of production for his latest film, One Night Guests. The highly anticipated movie will be shot on location in Lagos throughout August, with a grand premiere set for Christmas Day, 2024.
The press conference attracted media, industry insiders, and fans, featuring appearances from the film’s cast, which includes celebrated actors from both Ghana and Nigeria. The film’s ensemble cast, combining the best talents from West African cinema, promises to deliver a captivating performance.
Among the stars are notable actors such as Chidi Mokeme, Ini Edo, Yvonne Okoro, Majid Michel, Warri Pikin, Roselyn Ngissah, James Gardiner, Lasisi Elenu, and Akah Nnani. With such a dynamic lineup, One Night Guests is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
Peter Sedufia expressed his excitement about the project, highlighting Lagos as the ideal setting for the film. “The energy, vibrancy, and cultural richness of this city are unmatched,” he said. “This film is not just a story; it’s an experience that brings together two of Africa’s most dynamic film industries—Nigeria and Ghana.”

When Peter shared this idea with me, I didn’t hesitate to jump on it to make it a reality.” Odeh assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to deliver an outstanding film and encouraged everyone to watch it in cinemas upon its release.
One Night Guests will have a dual premiere in both Nigeria and Ghana on Christmas Day, 2024, with screenings across cinemas in both countries. This simultaneous premiere will celebrate the unity and cultural exchange between the two nations.
Peter Sedufia, a prolific writer, producer, and director from Ghana, is known for his diverse filmography, which includes the internationally acclaimed Keteke, as well as films like Aloevera and Side Chic Gang.
