Award-winning actress and producer Ama Konadu Abebrese who was also the first Actress to grace the cover of “Acheampong Magazine” stars in an upcoming internationally spurred film project, “Boyz Trip”, Deadline has reported.
Principal photography is currently ongoing in Cape Town, South Africa, with an array of global stars featuring in the production to include Hollywood actors Rome Flynn (How to Get Away with Murder) and Algee Smith (Euphoria) and comedian Desi Banks (Little).


Ama K. Abebrese joins a significant ensemble of African presence on the production with costars Siv Ngesi (The Woman King), Ama Qamata, Thapelo Mokoena (Blood and Water), and Bohang Moeko (Isono) collectively offering their rich craft to this highly anticipated project.
Furthermore, joining the cast are Alessandra Fuller (Peruvian), Francisca Aronsson (Swedish-Peruvian), Osas Ighodaro (Tinsel), Woody McClain (Power Book II: Ghost), Hakeem Kae Kazim (Hotel Rwanda), Peter Lee (Invasion), and record producer and songwriter Honorable C.N.O.T.E., whose work further strengthens the film’s global appeal and anticipation.
With Kyle Scott at the helm of directing, Boyz Trip follows four college friends who decide on a boys’ getaway that quickly spirals into international chaos, forcing them to rely on old bonds, questionable skills, and pure luck just to make it out alive. Produced by Autumn Bailey Ford, Scott also functions as executive producer via his Australian banner Keyscott Entertainment and Canyon View Media.
This role marks yet another huge milestone in Ama’s career, following her consistent craft in internationally acclaimed titles, Netflix’s “Beasts of No Nation”; “Azali,” which was selected as the first-ever Ghanaian entry for Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards (Oscars); “The Burial of Kojo”; “Sinking Sands”; “Ties that Bind”; “Lagos to Oslo,” among others, which is a testament to her depth.
