Produced by the visionary Clinton Samuel, The BIG 8 project brings together Richmond Owusu Ansah, Clinton Samuel himself, Abraham Stanley-Pierre, Edem Debrah, Nana Kwesi Asare-Boateng, Eyimofe, David Nii Otoo Lartey, and Matthew Kojo Osei, showcasing their talents and achievements in the world of fashion.

These eight models represent the pinnacle of the African fashion and modeling industry, setting high standards and serving as role models for aspiring models across the continent. Clinton Samuel, the creative mind behind the project, acknowledges the challenge of bringing these powerful individuals together but sees it as a testament to their impact and influence in the industry.

The name #EROS is inspired by the Greek god of love and desire, reflecting the passion and allure that these models bring to their work. Just like Cupid, the Roman counterpart of Eros, these models have the power to captivate and inspire, making them the perfect embodiment of the season of love.

Each of the BIG 8 members has a unique story and background that adds to their appeal and influence.

RICHMOND OWUSU ANSAH, known as Ansah Sikanii, is a talented model and creative designer from Bantama-Kumasi, Ghana. His modeling journey began at Takoradi Technical University, where he was signed by Bryte Africa Agency, marking a significant turning point in his career. Ansah has received several accolades, including the Ghana Fashion Runway of the Year award and Male Personality Model of the Year at Kumasi Fashion Week. He has showcased his talent in various countries and is known for his runway skills and presence.

In addition to modeling, Ansah is a professional painter with a creative touch. He is passionate about creating and learning new things, constantly exploring new avenues of creativity. Ansah is committed to making a positive impact, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and empowerment in the industry. He advocates for sustainability in fashion, promoting eco-friendly practices and ethical fashion choices. With his unique style and versatility, Ansah collaborates with renowned fashion brands and designers worldwide, showcasing his ability to embody both high fashion and commercial looks.

CLINTON SAMUEL, the producer of the Big 8 concept, a Nigerian with a passion for the spotlight, is the creative mind behind the Big8 concept. Starting as a musician, he gained recognition through competitions like Xfactor, Nigerian Idols, Vodafone Icons and MTN Project Fame. Despite challenges, he persisted and diversified his skills, earning degrees in Human Resources Management and studying acting and criminology. With a decade-long modeling career, he’s been honored as Ghana’s Male Model of the Year thrice. Committed to sharing his expertise, he mentors models and produces various fashion shows, films, campaigns, TV commercials, and radio jingles.

His portfolio includes collaborations with industry giants like Naomi Campbell, Alton Mason, Agbani Derego, and Oluchi, and partnerships with brands such as Malta Guinness, Karl Lagerfeld, Polo Ralph Lauren, Emporio Armani, Hugo Boss, Mr Price, The Fix, Vogue Italia, Woodin, David Tlale, MIA ATAFO, Orange Culture, IAMSIGO, Abrantie The Gentleman, Atto Tetteh, Glitz Africa, Okunoren, Emmy Kasbit, Tokyo James, Unknown Union, Mazivive, Kachins Couture, and Li-Ning.

Recently, after receiving music training, he released his debut single, “Remedy,” affirming his readiness to conquer the global entertainment scene.

EDEM DEBRAH, a towering figure in the world of modeling, standing tall at 6 feet 3 inches with a striking dark complexion, Edem embodies a captivating presence that commands attention on and off the runway. With 7 years of experience, Edem has graced top notched runways, featured in commercials and reality shows, leaving an indelible mark. Among his accolades is the prestigious Runway Model Award at Mr. Model Africa, and being named Overall Male Model at the Ghana Models Awards.

Edem’s edgy style and athletic prowess have earned him recognition as a stylish and influential figure. Beyond the runway, Edem is a key member of the International Telecommunication Union, contributing to ICT’s and connectivity initiatives globally, in Africa and Ghana.

Excited to collaborate with fashion houses, Edem is poised to enhance brand profiles and push the boundaries of creativity in the industry.

DAVID NII OTOO LARTEY, a fashion model born and raised in Accra, Ghana, has worked with prestigious brands like Amoako Boafo, Dior, Cease & Desist, Heal the World, Crownz Society, Caron Paris, Facebook, and Glitz, among others. He currently collaborates with Ghana’s best bespoke suit designers, BROMMON, and holds the title of Glitz Model of the Year since 2019. His passion for modeling is evident in his work, and he continues to push boundaries and explore new avenues in the industry.

ABRAHAM STANLEY-PIERRE, also known as Son Of Pierre, is a versatile talent in the fashion industry, excelling as a model, dancer, and creative designer. Born on May 10th, 1997, in Osu, Accra, Ghana, he grew up in a family of five siblings, where his love for fashion and dance emerged early on. Throughout his youth, he devoted much of his time to revamping old clothes, showcasing his creativity.

During his high school years at Labone Senior High School, Abraham honed his skills in acting, dancing, and modeling. He began training as an actor, fashion model, and dancer while studying business, eventually signing with KingPencil Model Agency in 2018, followed by Vain Model Management in 2019. His unique style and creativity have made him a standout in the fashion industry, and he has participated in numerous prestigious events like Glitz Fashion Week and African Fashion Week Nigeria.

Abraham has modeled for several renowned brands and has been featured in commercial campaigns for Tampico, Vodafone, Perk, Nivea, among others. In addition to his modeling and dancing career, he has ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing his own branding and communication online agency. He has also launched his own perfume brand, St. Pierre, showcasing his diverse talents and passion for innovation in the fashion and beauty industries. Abraham’s dedication to empowering healthy skincare and personal well-being has solidified his reputation as a rising star in the industry.

NANA KWESI ASARE-BOATENG, the younger of two brothers, took a chance on modeling and quickly made a name for himself. He has worked with brands like GTP and Chocolate Clothes Global and has been recognized as Model of the Year at the 2022 Entertainment Achievement Awards. Apart from his modeling career, Nana is also involved in farming, acting, real estate development, and is pursuing a degree in accounting and psychology at the University of Ghana.

MATTHEW KOJO OSEI, known for his daring fashion choices and androgynous style, is a Ghanaian model who draws inspiration from nature and everyday life in West Africa. His talent in styling and set design sets him apart from his peers, making him a sought-after model in the industry. He has collaborated with prestigious names such as Glitz Africa, Shades by Juliet Ibrahim, and Ovrlkgh.

EYIMOFE, originally from Lagos, Nigeria, has made Ghana his home since 2011. His journey from a scholarship student to a freelance model is a testament to his hard work and dedication. Collaborated with renowned fashion brands and designers worldwide.

As the youngest of six siblings, Eyimofe has always had a passion for cooking and can often be found in the kitchen. He learned to cook from his mother and developed a love for the culinary arts. Today, Eyimofe is a private chef, showcasing his culinary skills and creativity in the kitchen.

The BIG 8 #EROS project is more than just a celebration of fashion; it is a tribute to the passion, dedication, and talent of these eight individuals who continue to inspire and influence the African fashion industry and beyond.
