The AREEL (BigScreen Shorts) is an independent outdoor cinema awards platform for people to come and enjoy films, network and discover new talent whilst a percentage of the tickets made from the events will contribute to support and collaborate with young creative talents to kick start their careers in filmmaking. The very first film we produced with funding through  The AREEL (BigScreen Shorts) is ‘Victim – short film’.

Our maiden edition of The AREEL (BigScreen Shorts) hosted in Kumasi, Ghana was held in September 2019. The open call received over 57 entries and this validated the set goal. It is by this that we intend to sub categorize and host a screening of the selected entries every quarter of the year dubbed “BigScreen Shorts” before our final screening and awards “The AREEL”
