The Prizes – A Filmmaker’s Dream Come True
Five talented filmmakers will get the opportunity of a lifetime. They’ll be invited to attend the Afrofuture Film Competition in Accra, Ghana, on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024. Among these five, one exceptional filmmaker will be chosen by esteemed judges to receive a substantial $5,000 cash prize, awarded live at the festival. But that’s not all – the winning filmmaker will also earn an all-expenses-paid trip to represent Ghana as an Ambassador at the Cannes Beach Film Festival at Inkwell Beach. It’s an experience that could change your life and your career.
Submission Details
To participate, you need to provide the following submission materials:
- A completed short film, shared via a secured link, with a maximum duration of 15 minutes.
- Team bios.
- Details about any accolades, screenings, distribution, and more related to your film.
- A logline and a description of your film.
Before applying, be sure to review the contestant criteria:
- You must be a resident of and currently living in Ghana.
- You should be available for in-person attendance at the screening in Accra, Ghana, on January 2nd, 2024.
- As a representative of your film for the in-person screening, you must have served in one or more of the following roles: Director, Writer, Producer, or Cast Member.
- Applicants should be 18 years of age or older.
- You must be willing and able to screen your film publicly.
